Directed by Jamie Babbit, this whimsically edgy comedy tells the story of teenager Megan (Natasha Lyonne). Megan's suburban life, filled with friends, cheerleading, and all-American fun, takes a drastic turn when her conservative parents suspect she might be a lesbian. In a state of panic, they enroll her in True Directions, a "rehabilitation" camp overseen by the strict and uptight Mary (Cathy Moriarty). The intervention is spearheaded by counselor Mike (RuPaul Charles). Megan reluctantly complies with the camp's program until she finds herself developing romantic feelings for another camper (Clea DuVall). This timeless and satirical romantic comedy explores themes of self-acceptance and love. The film also features Eddie Cibrian, Melanie Lynskey, and Michelle Williams in supporting roles.
